Bryce Canyon National Park

Greetings from Bryce (well, actually I am in the laundromat in Moab😉).

We stayed for two nights.  What is great about Bryce is that you can hike down into the canyons (the only problem with that is that you have to make the steep climb back out).

Campground was good but not great.  Driveways way too narrow and pretty hard to fit both truck and trailer in.  If you can’t, they make you park your vehicle in another parking area so we were motivated to make it work as were other campers.  When we were parking, we were so focused on getting the trailer as far to one side of the paved area as possible so the truck could fit along side (were told you could not have any part of the wheels off the pavement) that we didn’t notice the tree branch hitting our awning as we backed up.  Fortunately, awning was fine, casing just knocked loose, but we had some uneasy moments over the thought of not being able to have an awning the rest of the trip with the heat.

Temperatures much nicer in Bryce, in the 80’s and it cooled off nicely at night.   We were able to walk to the shuttle and hike from the campground so we didn’t have to drive (and try to angle the truck in again to fit the campsite).

There were warnings about Bubonic Plague in the meadows behind our campsite.  Not enough to have to worry about COVID but the Plague too!  What the heck!!!

The little speck in pink is me.
