HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
We started our journey at around 9:00 AM and arrived in Las Vegas at 4:00 PM. It got up to 120 degrees as we passed through BAKER which certainly lived up to it’s name - check out the world’s tallest thermometer.
It is still 111 at 7:00. The low tonight will be 84. Thank goodness for A/C. Cheese, crackers and fruit for dinner. Too hot to cook.
We have a shorter drive tomorrow, only 168 miles to Zion, where it will be a balmy 105.
Why do people want to live in places that get that hot? I guess the same would be asked of folks who live in cold climates.... I say that you can always put more clothes on, but can only take so many off.
