Hello from Maine!
We made it! Started off about 6:30 AM in the Pennsylvania Poconos, traveled about 440 miles in six states and got here around 3:30 PM. Pure joy seeing the grandkids (and Lauren and Joe😊).
Our other piece of wonderful news is that Ashley and Spencer are engaged! He proposed Sunday night on the eve of her birthday. We are so, so happy for them.
It was a Chamber of Commerce day in Maine, definitely the prettiest state we traveled in. Perfect 80 degree sunny weather, lush trees, and lots of water!Playing cards in the trailer in addition to jumping on the bed (I stuck with playing cards) Lucy, 5, is on the left and Penny, 3 1/2 on the right. Monty, 22 months, and Ophelia their Great Dane. They also have three kittens, lots of chickens, ducks and two pigs. Monty is still getting used to us but gave us some Chex mix after dinner so we are making good progress.Grandpop and the girls.
Ashley and Spencer, the happy couple! We are so happy for them (I did already say that but we are really, really happy).

Sadly, we canceled our trip and hope to try again sometime next year.
