Lobsters!

 Hi Everyone,

We have been on the road exactly a month today.  Hard to believe it has been that long.  We have done so much in 31 days and yet it has gone by very fast.  Are we tired of traveling and ready to be home?  No, we are loving every minute of it and happy to continue on for another month!

We got our negative COVID results (finally) today, took six days.  So glad to have that behind us.  We have moved to an RV Park in Boothbay and will stay here till Friday when we move to one in Damariscotta only a couple of miles from Joe and Lauren's house.  One of our camp neighbors saw our license plate and asked us if we were really from California.  We have not seen any other plates from the Western US.  We have seen quite a few Florida plates, though.

Ralph has been waiting for this ever since we decided to drive to Maine.  Bought two live lobsters and boiled them for dinner tonight.  I don't like lobster and am rather grossed out by the whole cooking process - I had chicken.  They lived up to his expectations.

Our COVID test site in Damariscotta the morning after we arrived in Maine.  It was drive-through and very fast, unlike getting our results.  We were told five calendar days, which I verified because of the weekend.  When we didn't get our results yesterday, five days later, we called, didn't get a call-back, so Ralph went to the hospital where the test was given and they said no, it was five working days and we would hear on Wednesday.  We got the results today so I guess you could say they were a day early or a day late.

This is our campsite until Friday.  Definitely more like a campground than an RV park, much to our liking.

This is also from the RV park.  Took this photo on my early morning walk.

As you can see this little acorn is about the size of a grape.  However, when it falls 40 feet from the oak tree above us and lands on the roof of our trailer, it makes a sound exactly like a very loud firecracker. We still jump when we hear it.

We drove through an area today where some trees had already turned red.  When Ralph and I came to Maine on our honeymoon almost 26 years ago, I would have him stop the car at the side of the road to take pictures of the beautiful trees.  And I did it again today!
