Hi,
A big sigh as I start this post because we just said goodbye to the kids/grandkids. Tomorrow morning we continue on our journey. We have been here almost three weeks and have had an amazing time. It has been so fun to see the grandkids over such a long period of time. They are happy, wonderful children and we are leaving with precious memories of our time with them. Monty, who was a little wary of us at first, gave us both huge hugs when we left, as did Lucy and Penny. Many thanks to Joe, Lauren, and Cindy (Joe's mom) for their welcome and hospitality.
The weather has been great the whole time we have been in Maine, just a few drops of rain one day. It is supposed to rain here the next few days so our timing couldn't have been better. But we do have rain predicted for our travels the next three days - we will be in Rhode Island tomorrow night and Delaware the next.
So long Grandpop and Grandma. Lucy and Penny playing Queen and Princess. What a mess we had to clean up afterward.Making chocolate chip cookies with the girls Friday afternoon. We all love to eat the cookie dough!Monty loved going to the playground at our campground. He has boundless energy and tries to keep up with his older sisters, or maybe it would be more accurate to say they try to keep up with him!The leaves are turning color! It was amazing to see the change in the last week. It should be peaking in the next week or two and we have seen some beautiful fall trees.More trees! It is starting to be the time of year where you are seeing the beautiful colors everywhere you look.
What beautiful and special photos...particular of the grandkids- it is a time you and they will treasure forever. So glad you made that trip!
