Hello from Maine,
We arrived at our Maine home at around 4:00 PM today and are so happy to be here. We traveled in six states today: Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and finally Maine. Maine welcomed us with a beautiful, warm day. Unfortunately, when we were about 60 miles from our destination, our truck started making an odd sound when shifting into higher gears and we think it is the transmission. Fortunately, when Ralph put the truck into manual mode, the noise stopped. Also, once the trailer was unhooked, we took a short drive and it stopped then as well. We called the local Ford dealer to make an appointment to get it looked at and the soonest they can fit us in is May 30! We hope it can get resolved before we fly home on June 3rd. The truck will still be here when we go home so we will get something figured out.
Because our home is only open for six months, we have been busy unpacking everything that we stored away for the winter.
Here is a photo of our vacation home. We planted tulips and daffodils last October and were so happy to see them blooming.
Congratulations on arriving - what a huge trip! Have a wonderful time with your family! Harry
