Traveling Back to California

 Hello Family and Friends,

Tomorrow we will be hooking up the trailer and leaving Maine.  It has been an amazing and wonderful two months for us.  I was here the full two months - Ralph spent the month of August on a motorcycle trip to Wyoming with two friends so he was here less.  We are very sad to leave.  Maine has definitely become a second home and we love it here (we have become bicoastal residents!).  It has been wonderful doing summer activities with the grandkids, meeting new people, birdwatching, and being a tourist.

We will be taking a northern route home, traveling west through Southern Canada, dipping down into the US a couple of times before we stay in the US starting in North Dakota.  Our trip is expected to last 3 1/2 weeks.  We will spend Saturday and Sunday night at an RV park in Montreal.  It is supposed to rain much of our first week in Canada so we have rain jackets and umbrellas with us.

Our Maine home.  I was here long enough to plant some flowers and didn't have to feel guilty about watering them.

Lucy (7), Monty (3) and Penny (5) enjoying a day at the beach.
A day at the fair. A great time was had by all and the kids had their first cotton candy.
Picking wild blueberries.  The berries are very small and very delicious.

Okay, I had to include a bird photo.  Maine has some pretty amazing birds.  We have an expert birder in our little community who let me tag along with her and I learned a lot.
